Monthly payroll, GOSI and the WPS salary file

From the employee file to an approved run, the journal, the Mudad/bank file and payslips.

Updated October 23, 2026

Before the first run

  1. Check Payroll → Payroll settings: GOSI rates, the contribution wage cap and minimum, the leave and end-of-service policy. The rates are defaults; confirm them with GOSI and your auditor before the first run.
  2. Add employees under Employees → New: nationality (Saudi, GCC, non-Saudi), ID or iqama number and expiry, GOSI registration, IBAN, and basic salary and allowances.

Default GOSI contributions

EmployeeEmployer
Saudi9.75%11.75%
Non-Saudinone2% (occupational hazards)

The contribution wage = basic + housing, capped at SAR 45,000 a month, with a minimum of 1,500 for Saudis.

The monthly run

  1. Open Payroll runs and create the month's run. Everyone employed in the month is added.
  2. Enter absence, overtime, bonuses and deductions, then recalculate.
  3. Approve the run (users with the approve permission).
  4. Post the run: the payroll, GOSI and end-of-service journals are recorded.
  5. Pay the salaries from the bank account, then pay GOSI when you pay them.

The WPS file (Mudad or bank)

On the run page run the check first (IBAN and ID numbers), then download the Mudad file (Excel) or the bank file (CSV) and upload it to Mudad or your bank.

Mudad and bank templates change; compare the file with the current template before uploading.

Payslips

After posting, print each employee's payslip in Arabic or English, or email it.
