Import your data from Excel or another system
Bring over customers, suppliers, items, the chart of accounts, opening balances and open invoices safely.
Updated October 23, 2026
Open Settings → Data import. Download a ready template, or upload your old system's export as it is.
Recommended order
- Chart of accounts
- Customers, then Suppliers, then Products and services
- Opening balances
- Open customer invoices and Open supplier bills
Steps for each type
- Upload: Excel (.xlsx) or CSV.
- Match columns: columns are matched from their titles; check each one and change it if needed.
- Review: every row shows its state: new, duplicate, or an error with the reason. Nothing is saved before this step.
- Import: the valid rows are added, and the run is kept in Import history.
Tips
- Start with a small file (10 rows) to check the matching.
- Numbers and dates are accepted in Arabic or Latin digits and are always stored in Latin digits.
- Imported open invoices are balances carried over from your old system: they are not sent to ZATCA and are not part of the VAT return, because they were issued there.
- Any import can be undone from the history as long as its records have not been used yet.
